Okay, so it's a lame title...

When we arrived in Scotland we had high hopes for photography. The golden hours were reasonable compared to what we had experienced in Iceland, and so we looked forward to gorgeous autumn colours and beautiful light.

Unfortunately, this night was only one of a very few sunsets where the colours popped. Ironically, many times we found that we took better photos during the day.

We had also become used to the long twilights of Iceland and this sunset was a reminder that we did not have the luxury of ambling around looking for the perfect composition. I think I only took two shots that I was happy with!

That's the trouble with our country. You can sometimes wait weeks for just the right conditions and, if you are not there, tough! This is such a classy view. I was down there yesterday with my wife walking the dog. Conditions were misty and you could hardly see Inchgarvie.
