The day started off pretty gloomy, wet and windy. We went out anyway. As it was, the rain stopped, the sun even made a cameo, but the wind persisted. Oh well, you can't win them all!
Veidivotn is a short drive along route F228, not far from our base Hrauneyjar. Its desolate and for as far as you can see there is nothing but sparse bits of low grass and black sand and dirt. Then, out of nowhere a little oasis pops up, full of little hidden streams and moss covered rocks. I found this little flower struggling in the wind and had to take the photo.
